Joseph M. Hanna Joins Panel for St. John’s University School of Law
Joseph M. Hanna—co-chair of Goldberg Segalla’s Retail and Hospitality and Sports and Entertainment practices, chair of the firm’s Diversity Task force, and a member of its Facilitation Committee—participated in a panel with other legal professionals for St. John’s University School of Law on Monday, September 28, 2020. The event focused on mentorship and helping younger attorneys to develop and advance professionally, with a particular focus on issues related to diversity and inclusion.
During “Seeking the Necessary Guidance: A Discussion on Effective Mentorship,” Joe discussed effective mentoring, how to find potential mentors, and tips on how to be a good mentor or mentee. Various law organizations co-sponsored the event at St. John’s University in an effort to bring diversity and inclusion to campus—including the Black Law Student Association, the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, the South Asian Law Students Association, OUTLaws and Allies, and the Women’s Law Society.
