Larry E. Waters Jr., a member of Goldberg Segalla’s Retail and Hospitality and Civil Litigation and Trial  groups, discussed with Buffalo Business First diversity in the legal field ahead of the upcoming Empire State Legal Diversity Career Fair.

Larry believes the fair is a good first step, but also emphasized that “a commitment to diversity must be a priority for all law firms, legal organizations, and governmental agencies. Without action, diversity is only a buzz word.”

The Empire State Legal Diversity Career Fair is hosted by the Bar Association of Erie County, University at Buffalo School of Law, and the Minority Bar Association of WNY, where Larry serves as president. The fair will be held from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on August 12 at the UB Center for Tomorrow, with free registration required by August 1. Applicants can sign up online.
