“We are busier than ever,” Goldberg Segalla’s Joseph M. Hanna said in an interview with Buffalo Business First. “I am very proud to say in 20 years, we have hired more associates and partners in the first quarter of 2021 than in any other quarter in our 20-year history.”
Joe, a partner based in Goldberg Segalla’s Buffalo office and a member of the firm’s most senior leadership, joined several leaders of other Western New York law firms to discuss how they’ve seen a surge in numerous practice areas as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. He shared that workers’ compensation claims have been big business for Goldberg Segalla attorneys in Western New York and high-population office areas like Southern Florida and Manhattan. He added that the firm has changed its analysis as the science of the virus evolved, leading to a lot of time spent on determining how to process such claims.
“All eyes are on potential workers’ comp claims,” Joe said. “It’s forever been an issue, it will continue to be an issue. It’s obviously a concern for all.”
