Marc W. Brown, a partner in Goldberg Segalla’s Professional Liability Practice Group, was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal for an article examining the value of errors and omissions (E&O) insurance coverage for agents and other professionals operating in the real-estate world.
As the article notes, “even simple property deals come with pitfalls that can land the most scrupulous real-estate professional in court. An E&O policy offers agents and brokers protection against the costs of getting sued for a mistake made in the course of doing their job.
“Why risk your entire reputation? It’s not worth it,” Marc told the Journal. “There are too many people out there in a litigious society who are going to sue you.”
