Michael A. Hamilton, a partner in the firm’s Global Insurance Services practice, has been appointed to the Board of Regents for the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC), an exclusive invitation-only group of the top insurance attorneys in North America.

“I am honored to join the Board of Regents of such a distinguished group of insurance attorneys,” Mike said. “The ACCC has been the premier organization for the advancement of education and practical solutions in the area of insurance coverage and extracontractual law, and I look forward to continuing to further those goals by my service on the board.”

The ACCC seeks to improve the practice of insurance law, educate all sectors involved in insurance disputes, and develop best practices in policy formation and claims handling. Formed in 2012—with Goldberg Segalla’s Thomas F. Segalla as its founding president—ACCC focuses on the creative, ethical, and efficient adjudication of disputes between policyholders and insurers over coverage as well as extracontractual damages.

Mike has been a fellow of the ACCC since 2016. He also serves on its CGL/Excess Liability Insurance Committee and the Extracontractual and Bad Faith Claims Litigation Committee.
