Experience
Alexis D. Johnson counsels and defends clients in a variety of civil litigation matters with a focus on businesses in the transportation and logistics industries. She has substantial experience with constitutional and administrative law, having served as an honors fellow with the Litigation Bureau of the Office of the New York State Attorney General where she played a key role in defending the State of New York in both federal and state courts. Her work centered on Section 1983 civil rights actions and Article 78 proceedings, as well as employment discrimination and complex constitutional claims. Alexis contributed to all stages of litigation, drafting dispositive motions, preparing discovery responses, and assisting in depositions. In addition, Alexis served as a Law Clerk with the Institute for Justice, where she contributed to litigation addressing federal and state constitutional questions.
Prior to starting her legal career, Alexis acquired direct knowledge of the trucking and logistics industries as she worked for six years as an executive account manager in two Fortune 500 companies.
