An accomplished litigator for more than a decade, Anna M. Kohut focuses her practice on toxic and mass tort matters, with an emphasis on asbestos defense. Her broad experience includes representing clients in state and federal court, in matters ranging from negligence, environmental and insurance matters, to contract and financial disputes, consumer protection, and complex product liability cases.

Exceptional at formulating case strategy, securing advantageous settlements, and winning dismissals, Anna has served as local counsel in Illinois and Missouri to product manufacturers, contractors, distributors and premises defendants. With previous experience leading complex litigations and class actions on behalf of consumer plaintiffs, Anna offers her clients unique insights that can inform what strategies to consider. Her experience also includes drafting and arguing summary judgments in limine, as well as being well versed in voir dire, providing extensive juror research and selecting final juror panels.

While a student at Saint Louis University School of Law, Anna worked as a law clerk to Judge Nannette Baker in the Eastern District of Missouri’s Court of Appeals. While serving with Saint Louis University’s Legal Clinic, Anna also successfully argued an appellant’s brief before that court involving employment law.

Throughout her career, Anna also has worked to foster cultures of diversity and inclusion within the legal profession and her community, having served on Diversity and Inclusion as well as Women’s committees. The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity selected Anna for their Fellows Program.
