Experience
Christina O’Dea maintains a focus on workers’ compensation matters, counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators. She is engaged in various aspects of New York State’s workers’ compensation claims process from referral through resolution, including conducting depositions, settlement negotiations, mediation, and preparation of petitions and motions.
Before joining private practice, Christina served for four years as an assistant district attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s office, gaining in-depth trial experience. She prosecuted misdemeanor domestic violence and sex crimes in District Court before advancing to sex offense felonies in the Special Victims Bureau. Christina tried multiple felony cases, handling openings and summations, direct and cross examinations, and evidentiary hearings. She is adept at case building as well as managing a high-volume caseload, assessing evidence, meeting with witnesses, drafting and arguing motions, and analyzing forensic and digital evidence.
