Christopher A. Diaz

Christopher A. Diaz has more than 20 years of experience counseling and defending insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in a variety of workers’ compensation matters. He has extensive experience overseeing claims across the state of New Jersey, as well as handling case assessments, settlement recommendations, claims reviews, and client relations meetings.
In addition to his years in private practice, Chris draws on experience as in-house counsel for two major insurance companies, where he was responsible for assessing all aspects of workers’ compensation claims from inception to closure. In this role, he also handled multiple court lists in varying venues, preparing pleadings and attorney litigation plans; providing exposure opinions; and negotiating and litigating contested matters.

Chris has represented employers and insurers in New Jersey throughout the entire workers’ compensation process. He has handled claims for his clients through trial and on appeal. His brief in the matter of Pauline Feltman v. Transistor Devices, Inc. helped guide the Appellate Division’s extensive analysis of the statutory requirements and needed proofs that a claimant must present in cardiovascular cases.
