Experience
Erica B. Lewis draws on more than 25 years of experience practicing workers’ compensation, employment law, and appellate advocacy. She counsels and defends clients regarding all aspects of workers’ compensation law, including litigation of occupational disease, injury by accident, death, and workplace assault matters, as well as fraud, policy cancellation, and coverage disputes. Her record of success is the result of partnering with her clients to identify a defense strategy that delivers the best outcome based on their objectives. Erica also has extensive appellate experience, handling appeals before the North Carolina Full Commission, North Carolina Court of Appeals, and North Carolina Supreme Court. She represents private and public sector businesses and organizations throughout the Southeast.
An active member of the North Carolina State Bar, DRI, and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, Erica has been a featured speaker at annual conferences and other events. She holds a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent, the prestigious peer review rating that recognizes attorneys who have reached the highest levels of skill and integrity.
