H. Lockwood (Chip) Miller III has broad litigation experience across a number of substantive areas, with a deep focus on the defense of product liability and toxic tort claims in single-plaintiff cases and large, consolidated mass actions. He has litigated multiple matters involving a host of different prescription and over-the-counter medications, vaccines, and surgical devices, including phenylpropanolamine cough and cold products, cholesterol-lowering medications, polio vaccines, prescription antibiotics, implantable contraceptives, factor concentrate, paramagnetic contrast agents, weight loss medications, hormone replacement therapy, gastro-intestinal motility and bowel medications, laparoscopic surgical devices, denture adhesive, pelvic mesh, prescription opioid analgesics, and surgical sutures and needles.

Chip also has defended a wide array of other product liability and toxic tort claims, including with respect to asbestos, cosmetics and personal care products, lead paint, chemicals and chemical compounds, benzene, household and consumer products, butane-fueled lighters, material handling equipment, airline service equipment, alarm and signaling systems, industrial products, and playground equipment. His experience also includes general commercial litigation, premises liability, environmental, employment, and insurance coverage.
