Experience
Matthew P. Palazzola counsels and defends clients in complex workers’ compensation matters. His experience includes participating in all stages of the litigation process — evaluating claims, negotiating settlement agreements, drafting letters of consent, and participating in depositions of medical and legal professionals — from inception through resolution. Matt’s clients include global, national, and regional insurers, and he has extensive experience in all aspects of third-party action settlements. He also draws on his experience as a trial attorney and settlement department lead for a major multinational insurer.
In addition, as a member of the firm’s New York Workers’ Compensation Subrogation team, Matt assists employers and insurance carriers in navigating all issues pertaining to compensation liens and subrogation, including calculating and protecting liens, responding to requests for lien compromises, and obtaining lien recoveries for clients.
