Nytina Cooks counsels and defends insurers, employers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. She is engaged in the claims process from the inception of a file through its resolution, evaluating claims, developing case strategies, analyzing medical records, deposing claimants and physicians, and preparing motions and petitions.
Nytina gained experience as a legal intern with a digital systems implementation partner, assisting in-house counsel in preparing registration materials for compliance with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and revising contractual provisions to support company legal and regulatory obligations. She also conducted legal research related to labor and employment issues. Nytina also draws on her experience as a legal intern with the Federal Trade Commission, where she analyzed complaints and alleged causes of action and formulated legal strategies.
