Experience
Ruth Mokhtar concentrates her practice on counseling and defending clients in a wide range of general liability matters, including premises liability, negligent security, personal injury, professional liability, and complex commercial disputes. She is engaged in all stages of litigation from case initiation through trial and appeal, and has experience preparing cases for filing, drafting motions, pleadings, conducting in‑depth legal research, and participating in depositions, hearings, and mediations.
Before joining the firm, Ruth gained hands-on litigation experience as a summer associate in private practice, where she researched nuanced legal questions, assisted with document review, and drafted memoranda on complex contract and tort issues. She also served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Leon Ruchelsman in Kings County Supreme Court. In that role, she analyzed matters involving property law, custody disputes, and commercial solicitation, and prepared detailed memoranda summarizing her findings and recommendations.
