Yealee Song
Special Counsel
Experience
Yealee Song is a workers’ compensation litigator and advisor, defending the interests of insurers, employers, and third-party administrators. She handles workers’ compensation claims from start to finish for retail, manufacturing, and tech companies as well as public entities. Yealee has appeared at status, mandatory settlement and priority conferences, expedited hearings, and trials before the Workers’ Compensation Board throughout California.
Yealee develops comprehensive litigation strategies for each case with legal analysis of the issues, defenses, and possible exposure, providing clients with a plan of action for discovery and claim resolution. When it is in her client’s best interest, she negotiates and settles files as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible in order to mitigate damages. Yealee’s aggressive defense of claims also resulted in the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office criminally prosecuting a claimant for perjury.
Before focusing on workers’ compensation law, Yaelee’s practice was in general civil litigation, defending clients in state negligence, product liability, and lemon law actions, as well as federal Section 1983 claims.
