Goldberg Segalla added Jane M. Ryan to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice group in Chicago.
For more than 17 years, Jane has built a distinguished career representing self-insured employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in complex workers’ compensation matters throughout Illinois and Indiana. Her practice encompasses the full lifecycle of claims – from initial referral and legal assessment to defense counseling, discovery, trial, and appellate advocacy. She has appeared before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Circuit Court and the Illinois Appellate Court, as well as the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Board and Full Board.
Jane brings a unique perspective to claim handling, having started her career representing injured workers before transitioning to defense work from 2012 to the present. This dual experience enables her to anticipate opposing strategies and develop proactive solutions that deliver favorable outcomes for her clients. Jane earned her B.A. from Purdue University and her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.
