Experience
With more than 16 years of experience handling workers’ compensation matters, Brian A. Rudd has built a practice primarily devoted to representing self-insured employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. A significant portion of his time has been dedicated to litigation. Brian has extensive experience representing clients before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission as well as the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Board, and he has litigated cases in trials and appeals in Illinois courts – including multiple matters before the Illinois Appellate Court. Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Brian represented workers’ compensation claimants, which has provided him with a well-rounded perspective that informs his strategic approach to defending claims.
Brian handles claims from inception through final resolution, approaching each matter with a focus on efficient, results-driven claims resolution. He works closely with clients to develop defense strategies aligned with their business objectives, serving as a single point of contact and maintaining continuity from the outset of a claim through its conclusion. Brian emphasizes early assessment, proactive litigation management and cost control, as well as identifying opportunities to uncover fraudulent claims and pursue subrogation recovery when appropriate – all designed to help clients minimize workers’ compensation exposure and overall spend.
