Barbara R. Lucas, an associate in the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group, dedicates her practice to representing insurers, employers, and third-party administrators in a variety of complex workers’ compensation claims. Barbara counsels and defends clients in all stages of litigation from inception to appeal.

Barbara earned her bachelor’s in business administration with minors in French and law and policy from the City University of New York at Baruch College. She went on to earn her juris doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she was the recipient of the Hofstra Law Public Service Certificate as well as a staff writer for the Journal of International Business and Law. While in law school, Barbara served on the executive boards of Hofstra Law’s Business Law Society, International Law Society, and Tax Law Society. She also participated in Hofstra Law’s Moot Court competition, Volunteer Income Tax Association, and Political Asylum Clinic.
