Goldberg Segalla’s Colleen M. Murphy was recognized by Best Lawyers® as the 2023 Insurance Law “Lawyer of the Year” award winner in Buffalo. As part of Goldberg Segalla’s insurance regulatory team, Colleen handles domestic and international insurance and reinsurance regulatory issues and transactions. A significant part of her practice includes representing insurers, insurance agents and brokers, third-party administrators, and independent adjusters in insurance regulatory and licensing matters as well as consumer complaints in state insurance departments across the country.

Over the past 25 years, Colleen has represented hundreds of insurance agents and brokers in complex matters and brings a deep understanding of their business concerns, the regulatory climate surrounding the industry, their errors and omissions (E&O) risks, and the contractual agreements and relationships with their carriers and insureds

Colleen also has a history of involvement within the local community. Previously, she served as a co-chair Conference Planner of the Western New York Autism Society and as a volunteer/guide with the Phoenix Adaptive Snow Sports Program at HoliMont Ski Club in Ellicottville, New York.
