Goldberg Segalla Is Best Law Firm to Work for in New York State for Second Straight Year

May 2014

Goldberg Segalla again earned high placement on the Best Companies to Work for in New York State listing, highlighting the impact of its Best Practices client service philosophy and collaborative workplace culture. The firm ranked 13th overall for large employers on the 2014 listing and is the only law firm to rank in the top 20 for two straight years.

This high ranking closely followed being named the Best Place to Work among large employers in Western New York by Business First of Buffalo for the second consecutive year, and its placement at 14th overall among large employers on the 2014 Best Places to Work in New Jersey list published by NJ Biz.

In only 13 years, Goldberg Segalla has grown from seven founding partners plus a small support staff to a team of approximately 400, including nearly 200 lawyers, in its 12 offices in the United States and the United Kingdom. After first earning placement in the top 25 of the small/medium category of the New York State list in 2012, the firm quickly outgrew that designation and has ascended through the top 20 large employers the past two years.

Goldberg Segalla has been repeatedly recognized for its collaborative approach and its commitment to diversity. In addition to the statewide and regional rankings noted above — all of which are determined through confidential surveys of legal and administrative staff regarding workplace satisfaction, trust in the firm and its leadership, and how individual contributions and teamwork are valued — its commitment to promoting diversity earned it recognition from organizations such as the New York State Bar Association and the national Minority Corporate Counsel Association.

The Best Companies to Work for in New York State program is a partnership of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management, Best Companies Group, and The Business Council of New York.
