Goldberg Segalla added Benjamin S. Pohle to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice group in Buffalo.
Ben focuses his practice on workers’ compensation law, counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in a range of workers’ compensation matters. He is involved in every stage of the claims process from inception through resolution, including evaluating claims, conducting depositions, negotiating settlements, preparing petitions and motions, and litigating on the client’s behalf.
Ben gained experience by serving in a variety of legal internships while studying at New York Law School, then joined Goldberg Segalla on the Workers’ Compensation team. As a judicial intern in the New York County Supreme Court, he conducted research, drafted and reviewed briefs, motions, opinions, memos and orders to show cause while also attending conferences, hearings and trials presided over by the Hon. Lisa A. Sokoloff and other justices. In addition, he experienced a range of employment and labor matters as a legal intern in the New York City Department of Buildings Internal Affairs and Discipline Unit.
Ben earned a B.S. from Xavier University, an M.B.A. from Florida Gulf Coast University, and his J.D. from New York Law School.
