Benjamin S. Pohle focuses his practice on workers’ compensation law, counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in a range of workers’ compensation matters. Ben is involved in every stage of the claims process from inception through resolution, including evaluating claims, conducting depositions, negotiating settlements, preparing petitions and motions, and litigating on the client’s behalf.
Ben gained experience by serving in a variety of legal internships while studying at the New York Law School, then joined Goldberg Segalla on the Workers’ Compensation team. As a judicial intern in the New York County Supreme Court, he conducted research, drafted and reviewed briefs, motions, opinions, memos and orders to show cause while also attending conferences, hearings and trials presided over by the Hon. Lisa A. Sokoloff and other justices. Ben was an intern in the New York Law School Mediation Clinic, where he mediated Small Claims Court matters on a weekly basis. In addition, he experienced a range of employment and labor matters as a legal intern in the New York City Department of Buildings Internal Affairs and Discipline Unit.
