Goldberg Segalla Welcomes Five Attorneys in New York City, Princeton, and Hartford

Goldberg Segalla is pleased to announce that John F. Parker, Paul S. Danner, George H. Buermann, Joshua L. Milrad, and Oliver E. Twaddell have joined the firm. John, George, and Oliver are resident in the firm’s Manhattan office. Paul is resident in the firm’s Princeton, New Jersey office and Josh  is resident in the Hartford, Connecticut office.

John, partner and Co-Chair of the Goldberg Segalla’s Environmental and Toxic Torts Practice Groups, leads this dynamic group of lawyers. In addition to bolstering the firm’s capabilities in those areas, he and his team bring extraordinary talent and experience in product liability, construction defect litigation, insurance, commercial litigation and more.

With more than 25 years’ experience handling matters involving chemical exposure, including lead paint poisoning, asbestos and benzene, John F. Parker offers clients sharp insight into how to best defend complex, high-exposure liability claims. He also deftly handles the civil and administrative proceedings associated with oil spills, site contamination and environmental remediation involving the Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund program. Additionally, John has extensive experience litigating complex construction and commercial disputes, as well as pharmaceutical matters.

Paul S. Danner, a partner, brings to the firm more than fifteen years’ experience as a business counselor and commercial litigator.  Paul routinely handles commercial, pharmaceutical and insurance matters, including life, health and disability disputes.  He also has extensive experience litigating product liability, premises liability, environmental  and toxic tort cases.

George H. Buermann joins the firm as a partner and brings in-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations governing environmental disputes. His practice also includes handling complex toxic tort and product liability cases. In addition to handling adversarial matters, George helps clients avoid litigation by providing strategic advice regarding environmental compliance and strategy.

Joshua L. Milrad comes aboard as a partner in the firm’s Hartford, Connecticut office. He has extensive experience at both the Connecticut trial and appellate level courts representing business interests in complex commercial disputes, environmental litigation, product liability, and construction accident and defect claims arising from serious injury or death. He also regularly represents clients in coverage disputes arising from first and third-party CAT claims. Josh has also worked extensively with corporate leaders to identify and minimize their potential risk and exposure.

Oliver E. Twaddell joins the firm as an associate. Oliver’s diverse practice includes defending a wide range of clients in matters involving property damage, premises liability, contract disputes, personal injury and exposure to toxic chemicals and other substances. He also handles complex domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitrations, as well as appellate matters.
