Goldberg Segalla added Madeline Cavalier to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice group in Philadelphia.
Madeline represents and advises insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters throughout Pennsylvania. She is engaged throughout the claims process, from developing litigation strategies and preparing defenses to conducting witness and expert depositions, evaluating potential client exposure, and identifying effective settlement approaches. Madeline has successfully negotiated favorable outcomes for clients through both mandatory and voluntary mediation. While in law school, Madeline served as a student attorney in her university’s Immigration Clinic, where she represented clients in immigration proceedings. She conducted client interviews in both Spanish and English, advised individuals on available forms of relief, and researched, drafted and filed pleadings, memoranda and briefs. Madeline also gained experience in employment and labor law, risk management, and contract development through legal internships with a major league sports team, a regional health system, and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office.
Madeline earned her B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College and her J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law.
