Goldberg Segalla added Randee E. Schmittdiel to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation group in St. Louis.

Randee dedicates her practice to counseling and defending insurers, employers, and third-party administrators in complex workers compensation claims. For 20 years, she was in-house counsel for a major insurance company, where she worked hand in hand with the Claims Department overseeing workers’ compensation matters across the states of Missouri and Illinois. This included handling case assessments, settlement recommendations, claims review, and client relation meetings. In addition, Randee was involved in all aspects of claims handling, including investigating claims and counseling claims adjusters, managers, and insureds to produce the best claims outcome. She has tried and mediated hundreds of cases before the Division of Workers’ Compensation in Missouri and the Industrial Commission in Illinois, and has argued numerous cases before the Missouri and Illinois Appellate Courts. Randee earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and her J.D. from the DePaul College of Law.
