Goldberg Segalla Welcomes Timothy S. Carr and Natasha U. Patel
Goldberg Segalla added Timothy S. Carr to the firm’s Transportation group and Natasha U. Patel to the Workers’ Compensation group in the firm’s Garden City office.
Tim counsels and defends trucking and transportation companies in a variety of liability issues including products liability, premises liability, and automobile liability. He draws on his experience as in-house counsel at a Fortune 500 company, where he handled complex casualty and employment matters through attorney-to-attorney negotiation, alternate dispute resolution, and trial. In addition to his casualty experience, Tim has represented Fortune 50 companies in state and federal courts in a range of employment matters involving discrimination, hostile work environment, wrongful discharge, and retaliation. Tim earned his bachelor’s degree from Ashford University and his juris doctor from the New York Law School.
Natasha focuses her practice on defending insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators in complex workers’ compensation claims. She draws on a background as in-house counsel for a leading U.S. insurance company, where she litigated all stages of workers’ compensation matters before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board. Natasha earned her bachelor’s degree from the Frank G. Zarb Business School at Hofstra University and her juris doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. During law school, she gained experience through a judicial clerkship with the Hon. Ellen Greenberg at the Nassau County Family Court. She also served as a legal intern at the Immigration Project Clinic of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law, where she provided legal assistance to immigrants seeking naturalization.
