Orlando Business Journal on Goldberg Segalla’s Florida Expansion: Q&A with Christopher J. Belter

In an interview with the Orlando Business Journal, Christopher J. Belter, chief operating officer at Goldberg Segalla, discussed how the firm is expanding its strategic footprint in Northern and Central Florida and other markets in 2021. The firm recently added four experienced litigators to its Orlando office: partners R. Gavin Mackinnon and Michael J. Rigelsky and associates Gregory E. Jordan and Miraj M. Shah. More hires will follow, Chris told the Orlando Business Journal.

“We have 14 people in Orlando right now, including our most recent attorney and staff hires,” Chris said. “We expect to hire a total of around 15 people in Orlando in 2021, close to doubling our headcount in the region.”

Chris also spoke about the firm’s goals for 2021, how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the firm, the biggest challenges for 2021, and what skillsets and new business these most recent lateral hires are bringing to the firm.

“Gavin, Mike, Greg, and Miraj are already making an impact on our team,” Chris said. “They brought a significant number of files and some large national clients with them, and we’re excited to help them provide service to those clients in Central and Northern Florida and across our national footprint. In addition, this team immediately jumped in and helped to answer demand from our existing client base, particularly among our transportation and construction clients who look to us for representation wherever they do business.”
