Thomas F. Segalla and Brendan T. Fitzpatrick Receive Prestigious Defense Association of New York Awards

The Defense Association of New York (DANY) honored Goldberg Segalla partners Thomas F. Segalla and Brendan T. Fitzpatrick at its annual awards dinner on April 24.

Tom, a founding partner of Goldberg Segalla and Co-Chair of the firm’s Global Insurance Services practice group, received the prestigious James S. Conway Award in recognition of his efforts to further and develop the defense bar through strategic and vigorous defense of clients in litigation. A nationally recognized authority on insurance law and bad faith, Tom has been recognized by numerous legal industry organizations over the course of his career, including the Defense Research Institute and Best Lawyers in America.

Brendan, a member of Goldberg Segalla’s Appellate practice group, received DANY’s Literary Award in recognition of his work on DANY’s Amicus Curiae Committee. He previously received the Literary Award in 2009.

Tom was pictured in the New York Law Journal (subscription required) with fellow DANY award recipients Peter James Johnson, Jr. of Leahey & Johnson, who received the Public Service Award; Robert J. Miller, associate justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department, who received the Charles C. Pinckney Award; and Barbara R. Kapnick, associate justice of the Appellate Division, First Department, who received the Distinguished Jurist Award.
