In the interview with Law360 Pulse, Kevin, who joined Goldberg Segalla’s Workers’ Compensation group on March 1, shared that he made the switch because of the firm’s reputation and its scope. Although Kevin will be practicing in New York, the firm’s leadership believes his addition to the team will complement the firm’s overall approach and lead to more opportunities for the workers’ compensation practice.

“Kevin brings over 15 years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims to our team,” Esther F. Omoloyin, co-chair of Goldberg Segalla’s Workers’ Compensation practice, said to Law360 Pulse. “With his experience and relationships, we anticipate new growth opportunities, and to deepen our already significant bench-strength and recognition in the workers’ compensation industry.”

Kevin added that New York workers’ compensation is a rapidly expanding area of practice and when coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic and virtual hearings, there’s been no shortage of work. Additionally, the New York Workers’ Compensation Board announced that in the coming months, it will be modernizing and streamlining its electronic platform for handling cases.

“I’m looking forward to working with our clients when that is implemented,” he said.
