Alexandra L. Cohen counsels and defends insurers, employers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. She is involved in every stage of the workers’ compensation claims process from beginning to end, including discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trials. Alexandra draws on experience working in private practice in a New York firm’s real estate finance department, assisting with residential and commercial purchase and refinance loan transactions.

As a legal intern during law school, Alexandra assisted in the preparation of closing documents for co-operative apartments, including proprietary lease and sublease agreements and shareholder stock certificates. She also worked in the Family Law Clinic at the Touro Law Center, helping clients with the preliminary stages of contested and uncontested divorce proceedings. As a legal intern in the Nassau County Attorney’s Office, Alexandra helped to defend Nassau County agencies and employees against claims involving religious discrimination as well as injuries on county property.
