Beteley T. Mulatu focuses her practice on counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters. She is engaged in all aspects of the claims process from beginning to end, including discovery, depositions, hearings, petitions, mediations, settlement, and trial.
Beteley draws on her experience as a litigation contractor in the Office of the General Counsel for the Department of Justice, U.S. Marshals Service, where she conducted extensive legal research and analysis on complex legal issues, analyzed pleadings, motions and discovery materials, and drafted legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents for submission to federal courts. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Gregory Sampson of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
