Experience
Irene Kolonias focuses her practice on workers’ compensation matters, counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators. She is involved in all aspects of claims from initial referral through resolution, including discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. Before joining Goldberg Segalla, Irene was with a law firm that focuses on securities class action matters, where she drafted pleadings, motions, statement of claims, and memoranda in securities fraud class actions arising under the FINRA Rules, Securities Act of 1933, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
While in law school, Irene gained experience as a corporate legal intern with Jaguar Land Rover North America, supporting general counsel on issues related to products liability, licensing, advertising, and intellectual property. She was also an intern in the Investor Rights Clinic at Pace University, where she represented investors of modest means in securities arbitration matters before FINRA.
