Experience
Dedicated to practicing workers’ compensation law for more than 15 years, Rachel Rainey is a zealous advocate for employers, insurers, and third-party administrators throughout California. She has defended the interests of restaurant franchises, municipalities, entertainment industry leaders, and multiple insurance carriers, mitigating high exposure claims, negotiating swift settlements, and reducing legal expenses.
Rachel regularly appears at status conferences, mandatory settlement conferences, expedited hearings, and trials before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board on issues arising out of employment/course of employment (AOE/COE), temporary disability, medical treatment, discovery, independent medical review, and contribution. In addition to resolving claims, Rachel worked with a District Attorney to identify, investigate and prosecute an applicant for workers’ compensation fraud.
With the philosophy that “a closed file is a happy file,” Rachel has a proven track record of moving claims toward rapid closure. In one 30-month period, she closed 122 cases and had another 17 files pending settlement.
