Experience
Ilir Imeri dedicates his practice to representing employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in a variety of complex workers’ compensation claims throughout Illinois. He has extensive experience handling claims in all stages of litigation, including at arbitration as well as in circuit and appellate courts. Ilir has first chaired more than 45 bench trials, jury trials and administrative hearings, representing businesses of all sizes, insurance carriers, government entities and individuals in a wide range of civil matters. In addition to workers’ compensation, Ilir has handled personal injury, insurance litigation and subrogation, as well as business and commercial law. Analytical and detail oriented, he reads thousands of court opinions annually in order to remain on the cutting edge of his chosen legal fields.
While earning his J.D. at Cooley Law School, Ilir was ranked a top ten individual orator and was selected as one of only two individuals to represent the law school in the International Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., an annual competition in which universities from around the world compete to see which orators can present the most compelling arguments in front of a distinguished panel of judges from around the globe. Before joining private practice, he served as assistant state’s attorney in the Bloomington/Normal, Illinois area.
