Experience
Joseph A. Acosta concentrates his practice on the defense and counsel of insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in complex workers’ compensation matters. He manages every aspect of the claim from inception to resolution, including research and fact investigation, litigation strategy, witness interviews and cross-examinations, and settlement negotiation. Before going into private practice, Joseph served as a law clerk for the New Jersey Superior Court, Law Division, for the Hon. Richard J. Geiger.
While attending law school, Joseph gained experience through a number of internships, including representing undocumented immigrants at the Rutgers Immigrant Justice Clinic, researching and drafting legal memoranda for the Office of the Attorney General Department of Law and Public Safety in Trenton, and drafting memoranda on federal civil legal issues for the Hon. Joseph E. Irenas at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in Camden.
