Kevin K. Ong concentrates his practice on counseling insurers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in the defense of workers’ compensation claims and claims-handling strategy. With experience defending the full spectrum of claimed injuries, Kevin also frequently litigates issues arising out of employment/course of employment (AOE/COE), nature and extent of injuries, and entitlement to temporary disability benefits before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and advises his clients on physician reporting requirements, rating of medical reports utilizing the American Medical Association (AMA) Guides and Permanent Disability Ratings Schedule (PDRS), and other issues. Kevin handles all aspects of litigation including legal pleadings for petitions for reconsideration, objections, answers, settlements, and agreements, and depositions of applicants, employer witnesses, and medical-legal evaluators.
